Parc de l’Espoir is a commemorative public park in the Ville-Marie borough of Montreal, located at the corner of rue Panet and rue Sainte-Catherine Est. Created following requests from militant groups, the park, a 2SLGBTQQIA+ gathering place, was officially named in September 1994, following a solidarity march and then for the victims of AIDS. It was converted in 1997 into a cenotaph dedicated to the memory of people who died of AIDS in Quebec (work by Marc Pageau).
