A daily performance project by Nadia Vadori-Gauthier

Dance 3479 - 23 July 2024

7:50 p.m., Cité Florale, Paris 13.

I meet Annick in front of her house, she asks me what I have in my hand (My photo stand is purple). I explain to her that I have been dancing every day for almost ten years, since the attack on Charlie Hebdo. She tells me she knew them all. That she was so shocked that she couldn’t cry for ten days. She accepts that I dance in front of her ivy wall. I ask her to dance with me. She accepts. Then she invites me for a drink with her husband. She tells me an incredible story that she is writing. As she speaks I have the impression that this could be the scenario of a Great historical and romantic movie. She tells me that a long time ago, she published a book with Seuil/Rivages, which broke a sales record. There are still people in Paris who invite a stranger to have an aperitif at their place… it was a nice encounter.
